A belated Happy Valentine's Day

Who would ever have thought a cardboard box from the $2 shop could look so beautiful! This was a tough one to give away but I filled it with Rose's Chocolates - the expression of joy on Pete's face was worth the pain (& if I'm lucky he may return it to me when it's empty - one can but hope. But he did look like he thought it was the nicest thing I'd ever given him so maybe not).

I received in return a lovely meal at Zigilini's - Scallop & Lemon risotto with a couple of glasses of Allan Scott Riesling on the side - so I was pretty happy too. I make a pretty impressive lemon & basil risotto (even if I do so myself but it was lovely with the scallops added to it).

The box was created in Card Class this week. Jacque our fantastic teacher & my up line was wondering why so much blue paper used but then clicked we were making them for our men not a Friend. We used Loves Me double dipped designer paper for the top of the heart & sides of the box. I then used Cool Carribean card stock & stamped various hearts from the Love Matters and Sweet On You stampsets with Chocolate Chip ink. Finished it off with chocolate grosgrain ribbon. Both the designer paper, the stampset & the wider ribbon are available in the Summer Mini catalogue until March 31st.

I hope the heart box bought as much joy to the receiver as mine did.
Happy HEART day to all xxx
